Have you ever wondered how some people can set goals, and then everything in their life seem „working together to help them achieve them“?

Once you can tune your brain to be aware of the right opportunities, you’ll begin to notice yourself drifting naturally toward your goals and dreams, too.

This is not „esoteric delirium“; this is NEUROSCIENCE !

As you go about your day, you’re constantly bombarded with thoughts, emotions, and external stimulations, right? The so called „subconscious mind“ takes in thousands of messages every day, and it’s up to you to guide your focus.

You see, your brain is a dynamic organ and the structure of the brain is always changing, based on our thoughts and experiences.

So what you have to do is to direct your subconscious mind to focus on thoughts that lead e.g. to „success“ or „prosperity“ or maybe „financial growth“.

Below is the technique that will help you train your subconscious mind to help you work toward any goal. This FLOW exercise (I explain in details in my book – „How to design the best year of your life„)  I developed to help you prime your brain for goal accomplishment by using neuropsychology and the latest advancements in neuroscience.

Do this FLOW exercise when you’re ready to get serious about reaching your goal.

DREAM – THINK – FEEL – ACT

How to Prime Your Brain for Success & Growth?

Step 1 – Write down a specific goal with a date in a „dream book“ or daily journal, by which you’ll achieve it. DREAM

Step 2  Write down three reasons why you must achieve your goal. THINK

Step 3 – As you read it, feel extremely positive emotions, and feelings of gratitude for achieving it. FEEL

Step 4 – Read the goal every day, while scrolling through it with your finger. Make this a daily success ritual. ACT

According to Dr. Gail Matthews, a psychology professor at the Dominican University in California, if you write down your goals, you’re 42 percent more likely to achieve them.

The more significance you attribute to a thought, the more your subconscious mind pays attention to it. If you think about your goal, write down your goal, attach feelings and emotions to your goal, your subconscious mind will realize that it’s important.

If you include reasons WHY you must achieve your goal, you’re adding even more mental significance to it.

Here is the NEUROSCIENCE foundation of it:

When you set a goal that gets you really excited, one that you have a big “why” for achieving, you activate a part of your brain called the nucleus accumbens (NAc) and the insula. These are related to the motivation centers of your brain, which are responsible for producing the „feel good“ hormones like dopamine.

If you demonstrate to your brain how important your goal is, your brain will start to assist you in achieving it. Through emotion and repetition, you can direct the focus of your subconscious mind.

As you probably know, your subconscious mind is directing most of your behavior. When you become conscious of what you’re putting into your subconscious, that’s when you start to train your brain for success.

Programming your brain means directing the focus of your subconscious mind, by emphasizing certain thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

A more sophisticated and powerful way is to produce your own mind movie (e.g. using the platform MIND MOVIES) instead of writing in a book.

Mind Movies transforms a boring vision board into a fun, digital video vision board filled with positive affirmations, inspiring images and motivating music.

Once your subconscious mind is aware and directed toward your goal, you will begin to notice and be aware of opportunities to get closer to achieving it. While you may have been oblivious before, you have now trained your brain to perceive the world and look for the things that will help you achieve the specific goal you’re focusing on.

It’s not necessarily that you now create opportunities out of thin air . . . you’re now more aware and able to notice people, places, things, and events that will assist you in reaching your goals.

May you be successful in all areas of your life!
